New night train planned between Brussels and Malmö, via Denmark

Train company European Sleeper has announced plans to start a new direct night train service from Brussels and Amsterdam to Copenhagen and Malmö.

The company, which was founded as a cooperative in 2021, has launched a number of new night train services in Europe in recent years.

Belgian and Dutch media report that European Sleeper now plans to start night trains to Malmö, running from April 2028, in collaboration with the German company RDC.

The timetable has not yet been confirmed, but the plan is to depart around 7pm from Brussels or Malmö, arriving at the destination city at around 10am the next day. According to the company's website the route will run three times a week.

It is not yet clear whether it will stop in Germany.

The company also runs routes between Brussels and Prague, Paris and Berlin and Brussels and Milan. Its trains include a range of couchette compartments sleeping between 3 and six people, which can also be booked as a private or women-only compartment, as well as a budget seating option.
