Saab receives 10 billion kronor GlobalEye order
Saab has received a 10 billion kronor order for two GlobalEye surveillance aircraft from an unnamed country in the Middle East.
“This order underscores our commitment to providing customers with mission-proven, multi-domain AEW&C capability," Micael Johansson, President and CEO of Saab, said in a press release. "The increasing international interest in GlobalEye reflects its effectiveness and reliability in modern air defence operations."
The UAE has previously purchased GlobalEye aircraft from Saab.
The order comes after Nato announced in July that it would buy up to 10 GlobalEye aircraft for a total of 40 billion kronor. Finland has also expressed interest in purchasing the plane.

Struggle to recruit personal assistants after work permit bar
Companies supplying personal assistants say they are struggling to recruit enough staff after a new law which came into force in June made the role ineligible for work permits.
"It has become increasingly difficult to recruit personal assistants. Since the assistance allowance has decreased in value compared to the average wage, it is also difficult to compete with salaries," Henrik Petrén, an expert on the sector for the employers' organisation Fremia, told TT.
Tilda Primén, 19, has severe cerebral palsy and relies on her assistant, Anastasiia Chervonoshtan from Ukraine, who is considering changing profession as even though has a right to work under the temporary protection directive, she wants a work permit as that could qualify her for permanent residency.

Diesel and petrol price falls
The price of petrol and diesel at the pump fell by 20 öre and 65 öre respectively as oil prices fell from the 100-dollar highs reached last week after Houthi militia in Yemen attacked oil tankers in the Red Sea.
At 2pm on Monday the Brent Crude Oil price was down at $89, compared to $102 on Thursday last week.
The petrol price in Sweden is currently around 15.70 kronor per litre, while diesel is around 19.60 kronor per litre. This compares to 15 kronor per litre and 17 kronor per litre respectively before the war in Iran broke out on February 28th.

Rise in number of work permits awarded in Sweden as exemptions start to apply
The new lower salary requirement for some work permits that came into effect in June has led to a leap in the number permits granted to some exempted professions, new Migration Agency statistics have shown.
The number of first-time work permit granted in June shot up by 58 percent from May to a total of 1,515, on the back of a surge in grants of berry pickers, forestry workers, IT architects and system developers – all jobs potentially covered by an exemption giving them a lower salary requirement, new statistics showed.
